The Overlook Clock
Of the many creepy and interesting details in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, the hall carpet of the Overlook Hotel is one of the most recognizable. The geometric pattern of hexagons figures prominently in Danny's tricycle rides through the hotel, and in at least one of the theories that the 2012 documentary Room 237 explored. (Did its hexagonal shape refer to the launchpad of the possibly-faked Apollo moon landing??)
